Fallen Officers Memorial Day Observed in Kokomo, Indiana May 16th

The Kokomo Police Department shall commemorate Fallen Officers Memorial Day with a ceremony to honor those who have given the supreme sacrifice as law enforcement officers. The ceremony shall be conducted on Friday, May 16th, 2014 at 1:00pm at the Kokomo City Hall’s Council Chambers.

The Kokomo Police Department shall pay homage to all officers with particular attention to Officer George A. Berryman and Officer Thomas W. Lannon.

BerrymanOfficer Berryman was killed in the line of duty on November 26th, 1953 in response to the investigation of a domestic incident. You can read more about Officer Berryman by clicking here.




Officer Thomas W. Lannon died in the line of duty on August 22nd, 1877 when shot in the back at the train station by an individual whom he had previously arrested. You can read more about Officer Lannon by clicking here.
